2. Discuss the evolution of your thinking on casinos and/or prostitution through our class debates. What did you discover on your own that either reinforced or changed your original position? What did you learn from your classmates? Did you hear any particularly persuasive arguments?

Well I found out that some of my classmates suck at debating...hahaha
I just thought that the group I was in completely blew them out of the water. It seemed as though everything they were saying was based on how they felt or thought on the subject and not what was factual.
The strange thing about it all was that I'm not even for casinos, mainly because my father is the Pastor of my church and not even a deck of cards was allowed in my house the whole time I was growing up; they're just morally wrong.
I felt that the group that argued against casinos didn't do proper research and they could've made their argument better. This is because, focusing on the individual person isn't going to change my opinion. I have a no non-sense type of personality, so when people are addicted to gambling...it just angers me.
All in all both groups did well, but of course...i think we did BETTER! :)

hmmm...

Write a RANT about the acceptability or inacceptability of prostitution or casinos. Choose any side you like.-OR-Argue that we should instead focus our class debates on drilling, religion in schools, welfare, or any other divisive issue you choose.

Well what when I think of a divisive issue...I think abortion
When does a baby obtain human rights?
Obama had an interesting view on this...as usual.
I can't stand it when people say "it's not a baby"
well if it isn't a baby...then sorry hun but you're not pregnant.
I just DO NOT understand that.

You know what else bothers me?
all through out the election process obama said "i didn't vote for the war"
well obviously you didn't...YOU COULDN'T.
oh well....i guess I'll have to get over it.

I am super glad that america has a black president. honestly and truley I am. I think it's a great opportunity for our country to finally UNITE; it's the simple fact that he is wishy washy and liberal...but if he was more conservative...I would like him.

Write a blog about the subject(s) you'd like to research for your Report paper. What academic topic interests you? Why? What has inspired you to write about that topic? What research have you done so far? Is this a field in which you're already becoming an expert, or are you just starting out? What are your plans for learning more? Do you have any ideas for "primary" research (observations, interviews, surveys) you can conduct?

Choosing a topic for this report wasn't the hardest decision I've ever made; however, it was difficult. Exercise Science and Secondary Education are some things I have a true passion for and I knew I wanted to write about a particular matter in that subject area, but narrowing it down to a more specific topic was quite a challenge. After some serious brainstorming, I realized that students in high school health and physical education classes aren't as informed as they should be. I think that reaching out to young people...while they're still young...is vital to teaching them the basic knowledge they will need beyond high school and for the rest of their life. Today, many teenagers are unhappy with their appearance and suffer from eating disorders, depression, and even harassment from other students. A majority of these things can be avoided by simply eating healthy and exercising. It all comes down to the simply saying "If you look good, you feel good."
